Fatra attends Batimat Exhibition

The world’s biggest construction event, Batimat is a huge exhibition of construction material, machinery, services and innovations in the building industry. Covering 115,000 m2 and held on a biennial basis, Batimat brings together hundreds of thousands of professionals and exhibitors from all sectors of the building industry.

Batimat is a venue that provides a vast array of modern services for suppliers and contractors to build effective cooperation. There are opportunities to enter international markets, meet new trading partners, enhance relations with current ones and, in particular, to promote the sales of products and services.

Fatra, a.s. was showcasing its waterproofing membranes and floor coverings at the exhibition in an effort to identify business opportunities and partners in France. Our salesmen held numerous meetings during the exhibition, receiving over 200 contacts from prospective customers from France and many other countries.

Green roof and photovoltaic technology

Saving both the owner’s money and the environment, green roofs, photovoltaic technology and cost-saving products stood out as the latest trends in insulation material at this year’s exhibition. The approach reassured us that focusing our development and sales efforts on thermal, green and photovoltaic roofs and modern insulation material was the right move.

In the section of floor coverings, versatile plastic imitations of exotic wood set the trend now. As well, extravagantly coloured floor coverings in black and white, bright green or pink with numerous geometrical patterns and ornaments are becoming ever more popular.

We believe that our participation in the exhibition had a very positive impact, meeting our expectations to establish new trading contacts with potential partners in Western Europe. We also presented a new photovoltaic roof system and our complete range of building products there.
